Anti-Isreal protests rock Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, July 12 : Kashmiri people including students have been protesting Isreali aggression on Palestine for the past few days. Taking a cue from the Kashmir University, students of various colleges and schools also staged protested today across Kashmir. After registering anti Israel Protests on social networking sites, facebook and Twitter following the ongoing killing spree of Israel in Gaza Strip of Palestine in which international media reported 118 killings and injuries to around 1000 people so far, younger lot of Kashmir mostly students these days are coming on roads on routine bases across Kashmir to launch anti Israel protests. The details reveal that students of schools and government degree college in Shopian today assembled in main Chowk and chanted anti-isreali slogans. Like in university of Kashmir and in parts of Srinagar on Friday,the protesters were holding placards reading 'Stop Killing Innocent People In Gaza', 'Why Is UNO Sleeping', 'Palestine Will Be Free' 'free Gaza, save human lives'etc. Pertinently resentment against Isreal after fresh attacks on Palestine is increasing with every passing day in Kashmir and as per reports received at many places on Friday Protestors burnt effigy of Isreali Prime Minister, Benjamin Netnyahu and set ablze the Iraeli flags as well. "I will end it when our goals are realised. And the overriding goal is to restore peace and quiet," Netanyahu said in a nationally televised news conference Friday. Earlier UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay Friday expressed her concern over the civilian casualties in the attack, besides UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon Thursday also warned of the "risk of an all-out escalation in Israel and Gaza", urging Israelis and Palestinians to find common ground for a return to calm and a cease-fire understanding. |
