Rajouri Shocker: Six held in fresh gang rape reported from Palma

Rajouri, Nov 14: A fresh case of alleged rape with a young girl has been reported in the border district and that too just less than a fortnight putting police on its heels. Police have arrested six accused and further investigations are on.
As per the police sources the case of alleged gang rape came to fore in just ten days when the victim is 22 years old resident of village Pharwala in close vicinity of Palma of Rajouri lodged a complaint with police alleging six personas including a man who lured her to marriage have violated her modesty.
The accused also include the persons who ditched her on pretext to marry her as Mohd Mushtaq s/o Mohd Latief r/o Tarala (Palma) and his accomplice identified namely as Hakim Din, Abdul Majid, Kasim Din (brothers) sons of Noor Mohd Nazir Ahmed s/o Mohd Ayub and Ayub s/o Nazir Hussain all residents of village Palma of Rajouri.
"Acting on the complaint of the victim Rajouri Police have booked all the identified persons in a case registered FIR 593/14 under sections 376/109 RPC and also got the victim medically examined while results of medical reports are awaited, police sources said.
Quoting victim (whose name was withheld) a resident of village Pharwala, police sources said, that the complainant has alleged she was ditched by one Mohd Mushtaq on pretext of marriage despite have physical relations.
As per victim she had a three months pregnancy yet she was subjected to repeated rapes by his lover and his friends who threaten time and again and continued their crime.
"However on Thursday she managed to reach Rajouri Police Station and narrated her woeful story to the police, sources said adding, "following her complaint Police immediately swung into action and after legal formalities including medical examination of the victim constituted a team to arrest all the accused identified by the victim.
The police teams raided the possible hideouts of accused and arrested all the accused and further investigation in this case is on.
Pertinent to mention that earlier in the first week of November Rajouri Police have booked three persons including a naib sarpanch Mohd Sharief, Khadim Hussain and main accused Zakir Hussain for their alleged involvement in raping a divorced woman lured by Zakir for marriage who later ditched her. Rajouri police booked the accused in FIR No. 571/14 under sections 109/343/366 and 376 RPC following a complaint lodged by the victim.
