Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 14: Chief Enforcement Officers along with field staff of Enforcement Wing undertook an extensive anti-encroachment drive with the help of police from warehouse and Bus stand in various areas of Jammu City.
The team undertook inspection BikramChowk, Jewel Chowk, Indira Chowk and Shalamar to clear the footpaths / pavements from the encroachments made by the shopkeepers / vendors by keeping goods / articles and reharies thereby causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and also obstructing the free flow of vehicular traffic. The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again appeals to the shopkeepers to keep their goods within their premises without breaching the building line to avoid seizure of their articles and penalty for such defaults. The Rehri owners are also asked to keep their rehries mobile as the stationary reharies are source of obstruction for the free flow of vehicular traffic and also cause inconvenience to the pedestrians.
