Children's day celebrated across province with much fanfare

Jammu, Nov 14: Children's day-the birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of country Jawahar Lal Nehru-was celebrated across Jammu province with a range of innovative and fun filled activities at schools. Various competitions, Children's day poems, dance and feast is organized by schools and community groups to mark the event and make it a special day for children to enjoy childhood.
Sacred Heart College of Education Paloura, celebrated the event in which Hari Singh Chib, M.D of the college was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Chib advised the students to follow the path of Jawaharlal Nehru in their lives by becoming good teachers & serving to the students of the nation.
Baldev Singh Chib, Dr. K.K. Tiwari also spoke on the occasion.
At Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 Gandhi Nagar a cluster level group dance competition for the Primary Children was held wherein T R Choudhary, Principal, was the chief guest.
The students of nine Vidyalayas of KVS Jammu Cluster viz. KV Hiranagar, Samba, Miran Sahib, Sunjuwan, No.1 and 2, Jammu, Nagrota, Damana and Bantalab participated in this competition.
Children in colourful costumes presented items based on the already assigned theme of Folk Dances of J&K, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. One hundred and twenty students and their trainers and escorts attended this event. The dances included the flavor of dances of all the areas of the three states viz. Ladakhi, Kashmiri, Dogri, Kud, Jagran, Gidha and Bhangra etc.
KC Gurukul Public School organized a colourful bonanza and presented by the school faculty in the form of special morning assembly, cultural items, games , music, healthy jokes and dance, in honour and highlight the importance of children ,the precious gift of God to human beings.
The Chairman of the school Arvind Mahajan greeted the children emphasizing childhood the great moments in one's life which should be necessarily given a right track for successful future by Bharat Vikas Parishad at Meerut ,as an asset for the country.
Fun and enjoyment marked the Children's Day celebration in Mother's Pride and Joy Pre-school. The program began with school assembly where children were briefed about legendary freedom fighter and independent India's first Prime Minister.
Children took part in a number of competitions that were organized on the occasion. The Children also participated in various races. The winners of today's events were awarded with certificate & gifts.
Jamola Nehru youth Club Rajouri celebrated Children Day wherein Thakur Ragbir Singh Sarpanch was chief guest of the programme women from self help groups, volunteers of JNYC and National Youth welfare Organization participated in the programme.
Ramisht College of Education Basohli celebrated children day.
The students presented folk songs, Pahari song and drama's. Apart from the colourful item they remembered the contribution of the first PM of independent India Jawahar Lal Nehru.
Vishwa Bharati School Akalpur Udeywala celebrated Children day with enthusiasm, gaiety and in true fervor. A patriotic song by Shakti Raina, Punjabi dance a song 'Om Sai Ram' and 'I Love my India' were the eye catchers of the programme.
Speeches by senior teachers of the school including Girjs Razdan in English and Uttma Punjabi in Hindi were equally admired by the audience.
Police Public School Miran Sahib organized Bal Mela on eve of Children day. The event was inaugurated by K Vijaya Chairperson Management Committee Police Public Schools J&K.
Various food stalls were established by the teachers on no profit no loss basis. The children were also seen dancing on the DJ music. They also participated in the games organized in the school premises. The children enjoyed in the Mela and were very jubilant on the organization of this event.
Seema Agarwal wife of Navin Agarwal, DGP Sports J&K, Sundri Yadav wife of Rajesh Yadav, IGP Jammu Zone, Ruksana Beig wife of Shakeel Ahmed Beig DIG Jammu, Parshotam Sharma Deputy Director Prosecution Range Police Headquarters Jammu, Kiran Raina Principal Police Public School Miran Sahib, Mahika Yadav and school staff members were present on the occasion.
KNIT Green Model Academy Sangrampur celebrated Children's day by organizing a sports event.
According to press release, on this occasion Professor JL Kotwal was the chief guest and Bimal Bolaria was guest of honour and both of them recalled the contribution of Pt. Nehru of modern India.
Government Higher Secondary School Dablehar RS Pura organized a gala symposium cum sports event. Suman Lata Principal of school exorted upon the students to rededicate yourself for accompalishing their mission in life.
Rich Harvest Kindergarten Shastri Nagar Jammu celebrated the event by organizing various events including screening of documentary, dental workshop, poem recitation, speech and ballon release.
May Fair Higher Secondary School, New Rock Land Public School, Governemnt Girls Higher secondary School Mubarak Mandi Jammu also celebrated the occasion.
Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Pouni celebrated Children's day in the premises of school with great pomp and show. On the occasion various activities were performed by the students of different classes like group dance, group song and were performed. Par vir Singh, Akshsy Singh, Rashmi and Ambika spoke about Pt. J L Nehru. While, speaking on the occasion Principal Bansi Lal Magotra through the light on the principles of our great leader and first Prime Minister Pt. J L Nehru.
MHAC School Nagbani celebrated Children's day with great fervor today. A special assembly was conducted in the junior school ground. An inter-section dance competition for the students of Classes IX & X was held on the occasion. All the students and staff members enjoyed the show. Meenu Betab, Ravi Sharma, Jasdeep judged the competition. IX B girls and X F team of boys and girls were declared first. However the second position in this inter-section competition was bagged by IX D boys and X B girls.
To mark 125th birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India and to celebrate childhood was organized in the premises of JK Public School, Kunjwani by the teachers. While, a friendly 'Tug of War' was organized between staff and students.
St. Xavier Convent Senior Secondary School celebrated Children's Day in the school premises. The students of pre- primary wing were distributed sweets and told about the occasion being celebrated as Nehru's birthday. Some completions were also organized by school administration and the winners of these competitions were also awarded I. II, III prizes class wise. While, Principal Pankaj Vihans was the Chief guest and spread a message about cleanliness in work, thoughts and surroundings among the students which was very dear to 'Mahatma Gandhi'.
RM College of Education Chowadhi, Sainik Colony celebrated 125th birth anniversary of Jawahar Lal Nehru in the college auditorium and chairman of the college Rameshwar Mengi was Chief Guest on this occasion. Teachers and Students presented various colourful cultural programmes. All the participants and winners were given away prizes and certificates by the dignitaries.
Government Girls High School Kachhi Chhawani celebrated Children's Day with fervour and gaiety. The contesting candidate from BJP Jammu East Rajesh Gupta was the Chief guest who inaugurated the function in presence of School Children teaching staff other dignitaries and present audience. To celebrate Children's Day the sports activity are organised today on 14th Nov. in the promises of KPS Barnoti, Kathua. To pay tribute and as a mark of respect to our Jawahar Lal Nehru the former Prime Minister of India. Stephens International Public School, Miran Sahib today celebrated Children's Day on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. A balmela was organized. The campus had a festive look with decoration and vibrant colours. The teachers presented a very impressive cultural programme, foot tapping dance, solo-songs and skits on the occasion. On the eve of the 125th Birthday of India's first prime Minister, Jawahar lal Nehru the Children's Day was celebrated at the Government Middle School here today in collaboration with the Infrastructural Leasing & Financial Services(IL&FS)funding the Chenani-Nashri road tunnel.

Eurocare today celebrated children's day by visiting to air force station Jammu." We often teach the children all about life but they are the ones who teach us what life is all about." this day was entirely dedicated to the children.
They had loads of fun nd frolic nd well definitely remember it for a long time to come. Teachers put up a fantabulous show for kids that made them laugh, clap sing nd dance. Their cheerful faces proved that we were successful in our mission of making them feel special and go back home happy.our principal said every day is children's day as children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully ng lovingly nurtured , as they are the future of the nation.
