| Famous Chole Kulcha available at Shalamar Road | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 14: The city of temples witness heavy influx of rush of people after durbar move from Srinagar and the area near Civil Secretariat and the shopkeepers nearby do brisk business. The Shalamar road itself is famous and the man who added the feather to this area is none other than Tara Chand Sharma who sells quality Chole kulcha right from the year 1989. Talking to Early Times correspondent, Sharma said that he has started selling chole kulche in shalamar road under tree from the year 1989 and before this, was working at tea stall in City Chowk area . On being asked how he started this work, he said that at one day, I saw a kulcha wala who was selling kulcha of inferior quality and the ingredients he used were of not good quality. He further added that being a local, I thought why not I should start selling chole kulche and serve my people. I am originally a resident of a village in Akhnoor area, now living in Jammu city from the past 25 years and satisfied with my work. I am not having any shop or other kind of rehri, but under a tree, selling chole kulche right from 11 am up to 6 pm at Shalamar road. The response of the people always remain enormous and so far, no body complaint against me as I always believe in selling quality kulche and chole using my own Masala and other ingredients. Mostly the college and university students relish the chole kulcha which is being sold at very reasonable price. The employees of Civil Secretariat and other private and government institutions usually comes to me and fill their tummy. My customers who have been settled in Dubai, London, Washington, and other parts of country and world visit to my place whenever they come to Jammu. They are all on good posts but they never forget me and specially my chole kulcha. Initially I keep channa kulcha, Masala kulcha and kachalu but with the passage of time, I stuck to one product that is chole kulche and till date I never compromised on quality. My motto is to see everyone happy and in future also, I will keep selling quality product only and my family members including my wife, one son who is in 12th class and one daughter who is in 11 th standard always supports me and my work. |
