Cases registered against Relief Commissioner (M) HC directs SVO to submit status report 11/23/2014 12:04:33 AM Avinash Azad Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 22: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir has directed General Administration Department (GAD) and State Vigilance Organization (SVO) to submit status report on various cases registered against former Relief Commissioner (Migrant) for his 'alleged' involvement in misappropriation of funds meant for rehabilitation of displaced KPs. Responding to a PIL filed by Sheikh Mohd Safi and other, Division Bench comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan on November 13, 2014 directed that status report with regard to inquiry be filed by the General Administration Department and Vigilance Department. Applicant has PIL filed through counsel, Advocate K D S Kotwal had sought sanctioning of grant for prosecution against former Relief Commissioner under FIR number 3 of 2012 at Police Station Vigilance Organization, Jammu. "The tainted bureaucrat known for multi crore scam in the relief organization and appropriate direction to the SSP Vigilance for furnishing of the recommendation made by investigation officer duly endorsed by SSP Vigilance Jammu for lodging of FIR against the officer and others", the applicant informed the court in his PIL. He also sought copies of FIR registered against the tainted officer through court. "In light of the verification no.SSP/SVOJ/Veri/RS/27 of 2011 and also furnish the copy of the action taken prayer to remove officer, who is presently heading the Revenue department, as he would be in a position to influence investigation being head of the department", he mentioned in the PIL. He alleged that verification against the tainted officer, have not been taken to their logical conclusion by SVO. "Verification number SSP/SVOJ/Veri/RS/44 of 2009, verification number of SPK/VOK/Veri-BK 16 of 2011 and verification number SPK/VOK/Veri-BK 22 of 2011 against the officer have not been taken to their logical conclusion by Vigilance", he alleged.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
