PDP making inroads in NC bastions of Srinagar 11/23/2014 12:04:58 AM Javaid Naikoo Early Times Report Srinagar, Nov 22 : The PDP has succeeded in making inroads in traditional NC bastions and areas which are known for producing stone pelters. PDP leaders who addressed a public rally in Khanyar area of Srinagar in support of PDP candidate Muhammad Khursheed Alam which previously was considered as den of National conference where from Ali Muhammad Sagar is contesting and the area like rest of many streets of Srinagar was considered as a hub. Senior leader and member parliament of PDP from North Kashmir, Muzaffar Hussain Beg said all cases against youth who were labeled as stone throwers over the years will be withdrawn soon after PDP forms the next government. "All such youth and others as well will be given industrial units. PDP will focus on this issue with utmost sincerity," he promised. Beg said that PDP has also decided to introduce some financial assistance schemes for youth who want start their own business units and in this regard according to him PDP is all set to give around Rs 50-100 million without any tax and interest so that they can establish their businesses units and make both ends meet. Beg said that all sorts of cases lodged against the stone throwers of whatever condition according to him the number of which is believed to be in thousands is a grave issues for his party and for thousands of families whose youth have been labeled as stone throwers and for the common masses of Srinagar city as well. Beg said that Khanyar which has been neglected in terms of development. "PDP will develop the area on modern lines and added that his party will re-build the old city as one of the beautiful cities in the world," he said.
