Kuka Parrey's son apologies for Ikhwan excesses | `Akber Lone's close aides are Ikhwanies' | | Early Times Report HAJIN, Nov 25: Father of counter insurgency and former MLA, Kuka Parrey's son, Imtiaz Parrey today appologised for `excesses committed by his father in his capacity as Ikhwaan chief'. Imtiaz is the Congress candidate from Sonawari constituency. Talking to newsmen at his Residence in Parray Mohallah in Hajin, Imtiaz said : "All of us have suffered because of the gun. I do not know why, how and when the Ikhwaan was constituted. If some people have suffered at the hands of Ikhwaan, I apologise for it especially in cases where my father was involved." Distancing himself from Ikhwaan, the young Parrey said he should not be punished for wrongdoings of the Ikhwaan members. "Why should I suffer for wrongs committed by others. I foresee a long and bright career in politics," he said. Admitting innocent people were killed ruthlessly in Hajin, Imtiaz demanded an impartial probe into the killings to fix responsibility. "A National Conference worker, Maqbool Parra was killed. A person who has suffered at the hands of Ikhwaan cannot be killed by Ikhwaan. The Ikhwaan chief, Rashid Billa is involved in seven killings. He may be involved in the murder of Rashid Billa as well. But the culprits enjoy patronage of NC leader, Mohammad Akber Lone," he said. Imtiaz said Akber Lone won two elections by opposing Ikhwaan. "But today dreaded Ikhwanies are his close aides. He needs to explain his position, " he said. "I may get killed for my relation with Kuka Parrey. People know me and I have committed no wrongs. Nobody will kill Imtiaz Parrey," he said. He declined to express his opinion on Article 370. I belong to a party. "My leaders will take a decision and whatever decision they take will be binding on me," he said. He also refused to comment on BJP's mission 44 +. "BJP has no presence here so talking about them will give them undue importance," he said. |
