Jammu, Nov 25: Residents of Krishna Nagar locality today staged protest over the prevailing unhygienic conditions and unfinished work of drains in the area.
Shouting slogans against the concerned authorities, the protestors alleged that the concerned agency which dug the drains and left the work incomplete, causing inconvenience to the commuters and passersby especially those using the route to reach the Jewel Chowk.
The residents assembled outside the Guru Ravi DassSabha, Krishna Nagar and protested demanding immediate completion of the work to avoid inconvenience to the residents. "The authorities have left the work incomplete, which is causing problems to the walkers," Sumit Badyal-a local rued. Another lamented that the lane which had been left after digging-is a short cut leading to Jewel area and was convenient for the students, employees and other sections, who have to reach the Jewel Chowk during office and school hours. |
