Free cataract surgery conducted at Nowshera 11/26/2014 10:43:45 PM Early Times Report Nowshera, Nov 26 : A three day Cataract Surgery Camp organised at Sub District Hospital Nowshera concluded here today. According to press release, 51 cataract operations were performed in the camp which was organised by Viklang Chhatra Trust in collaboration with Health Department and District Blindness Control Society. The implanting of Intra-Ocular-Lenses was conduted by Dr Rajeev Sharma MS and Dr Aarti Sharma MS, renowned Eye Surgeons. Ajay Anand and Ram Krishan, Ophthalmic Assistants, assisted in the surgery. Besides, four terygium operations were also performed. Satya Pal Saraf ,Organizer Viklang Chhatra Trust said that this was the second camp of VCT at Nowshera in one month under its endevour to declare Nowshera cataract-free zone. Medicines, spectecals and food for the operated patients was sponsored by a local Medical Hall under the supervision of Dr Amit Maini.
