Husband, wife doctors creating monopoly, maltreating poor patients in Shopian

Jammu, Nov 26: In an inhuman kind of its treatment by Husband and wife Doctors who forced one poor to afford private Hospital after their highhandedness at government Hospital refused to treat one pregnant lady at the critical time of delivery of baby.
Shabeena jan wife of Gulzar Ahmad Dahal of Batapora Shopian was taken to District Hospital Shopian at 8:am morning on Tuesday after she confirmed apt time of delivery of baby to her parents, however after completing prescribed laboratory tests before she could be taken to operation theatre in District Hospital Shopian for Surgery as was prescribe by her personal Doctor earlier, Two Doctors namely Doctor Nisar Ahmad and Dr Nusrat who according to the details are Husband and wife posted in the same Hospital were on duty blatantly refused to treat Shabeena jan after citing the busy theatre as an excuse and instead of any affection towards Shabeena's Husband started pushing him out of operation theatre.
"Both Dr Nisar and Nusrat who were present there refused to treat my pregnant wife, they kept me and my wife Shabeen in waiting unnecessarily without caring for critical condition of my wife up to six hours and at 2 pm I was forced to take my wife to District Pulwama in critical condition and afford Hospital in another district and spend thousands of rupees despite having all the facilities available in said hospital."Said Gulzar Ahamd Husband of Shabeen Jan.
According to Shabeena Jan she during her pregnancy as per schedule would visit her personal Doctor Sami-ullah who is posted in another Hospital of District Shopian and at the apt time delivery to baby she called Dr Sami-ullah who according to Shabeena was luckily present in
District Hospital Shopian and advised her to enroll in the same hospital for surgery but according to Shabeen Dr Nusrat, gynecologist posted in District Hospital for some unknown reasons refused to treat her and behaved inhumanly with her at a time when such patients need care.
When Eearly Times contacted accused Dr Nisar said that 'at that time I was operating another patient in the theatre, they have taken patient (Shabeena) from outside Hospital,I ased them to wait but they started making noise,yes CMO shopian also asked me to treat shabeena but I was busy, me and my wife are not involved anyhow in this case."
Meanwhile according to Chief Medical officer Shopian Preylal Singh 'Dr Nisar and Nusrat are without any doubt involved in misconduct case with that poor Gulzar Ahmad,I have informed Director Sahab as well and I have submitted my report, strict action will be taken against both these Doctors and I assure you we are here to serve poor people. Locals of the area alleged that both Dr Nisar and Nusrat who posted in District Hospital Shopian are politically influenced and from last many years have created sort of monopoly in the said Hospital resulting in poor people suffer on routine bases unnecessarily.
