NMC urges state Government to release pending installments of DA 11/26/2014 11:36:50 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 26: President of National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subesh Shastri today urged state government to immediately released two pending installments of 17 percent Dearness Allowance (DA). According to press release, talking to media persons here, Shastri said in 2009 the State Government had given approval on communication of then Chief Electoral officers after which state government was released 7% DA to its employees and pensioner. Now the State Government should not take the model code of conduct as an excuse to not release two installments of pending DA in favor of 4.5 lakhs employees and one lakh pensioners, he added. He said already in built provision in the annual budget, there should not be any hitch for the state government in releasing these installments of DA to its employees and pensioners.
