Early Times Report

Dr. Hina Bhat who contested unsucessfully the recent assembly elections from Amira Kadal consitiuency on BJP ticket. She was the pioneer in raising the flag of BJP in the valley and the working style of prime minister Narinder Modi admired her to join the saffron party. She gave bold statement on Article 370 earlier and now, Hina is asking to have a detailed discussion and give people a choice to have an option whether to keep this article or not.
Talking to Early Times senior correspondent in Early Times office exclusively said that the people of Kashmir in particular and all over the state in general are innocent and they are being fooled by the some political leaders whether mainstream or separatists. She further said that Article 370 should be debated in public domain in length and breadth and the apprehension about it should be removed once for all and let the people of the state should take a final call on it.
This article has been eroded already and now it is an urgent need to have a debate on it and the people of all the three regions should be involved. My personal and party view is that it should be debated and personally I think that there should be awareness in the people about this article. On PDP BJP coalition government, she said that it depends on both sides to show maturity and respect people verdict both from Kashmir and Jammu and give a stable and healthy governance to the people of the state and it will complete its full term and added that under the dynamic leadership of prime minister Narinder Modi, the state of Jammu and Kashmir will be developed like anything and the new era of peace and development will start in the state. Though BJP and PDP have different views on certain issues and it will be a challenge for both parties to go ahead and I am confident that both BJP and PDP will take Jammu and Kashmir to new heights.
On being asked about her entry into BJP that too from a Kashmiri Muslim family, she said that it is the inspiration of Modi and his way of functioning, which prompt me to join right wing party and believe me it is very difficult to raise flag of BJP in valley, but I listen to my heart and took decision because wanted to do good for my people. My sole aim is to get my party into every corner of valley and propagate the policies and programs of BJP.
I am born and brought up in a optimistic atmosphere and wanted to help my people as much as I can. My ideal and my mentor is my father Mohd Shafi Bhat who never lost any election and always worked for the welfare of people. He remained as MP, Minister and MLA for so many years.
Kashmir is and will remain an integral part of India and there are two issues, one India and Pakistan and other India and Kashmir which is our own affair and from last many decades, many leaders create wedge between Delhi and Kashmir and now, BJP government at centre, Prime minister Modi has already started getting close to people of Kashmir and is working on right direction. Modi is believing in Kashmiriyat, Jamohriyat and Insaniyat and is optimistic, upfront and dedicated. BJP in next election will cross 44 mark in Jammu and Kashmir and I can see with my wide open eyes that "ache din zaroor aayenge". Kashmiri pandit migrants should be asked what they want, rather forcing them to shift from one camp to other and Kashmir is incomplete without them, she said and added that I want someone who will listen them instead of giving directions to them.
My message to the people is to remain vigilant against the disruptive forces which are always ready to befool the innocent masses of the state and work for the development of the state.
