Is there a NC mole in BJP? | How does Omar know that deal over BJP-PDP Govt formation was reached much earlier? | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 22: Ex-chief minister Omar Abdullah seems to have kicked up a controversy by claiming that "PDP-BJP tie up was a deal done ages ago, all this was just Mufti Sayeed's grandstanding as a tough guy to undo the damage in the valley. Only an idiot would have concluded that Mufti Sayeed's drama over the last few days meant that PDP-BJP were actually having difficulty in joining up". Now, the question is how does he know that the two parties had reached an agreement over the government formation much earlier? Is there actually a NC mole in BJP who keeps him updated about the developments between the two parties? His comments have undoubtedly kicked up a controversy in political circles of the state, especially in BJP. Some BJP leaders insinuated that "there exists a mole in BJP who is in constant touch with the Abdullahs and shares with them the details of all secret meetings between BJP and PDP for working out the modalities for government formation in the state". They said Omar had earlier also made certain comments over the possible BJP-PDP alliance which showed that he was in knowhow of the secret discussions between the two possible alliance partners for the government formation. It was only the NC mole who was leaking information to the Abdullahs, the BJP leaders asserted, asking him to name him. They said such moles had also remained in discussion in the party circles during the previous Legislative Council elections and the recent state polls. Controversy now hovers around Omar who, after badly losing the state elections, was himself interested in forming the government in alliance with BJP but this did not happen. Everyone in the state political circles knows that he and his father have "informers" in BJP who were now being gradually sidelined. "Instead of cultivating sources in other parties, Omar should rather concentrate in consolidating his own party to keep it united," the BJP leaders said. |
