Jammu, Feb 22 : President Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Prof. Saifuddin Soz requested the MLAs to vote for the two candidates fielded by the Jammu Kashmir National Conference for election to the J&K Legislative Council. The legislators assured Prof. Soz that they would vote in the election for the candidates fielded by the Jammu Kashmir National Conference. According to press release, a meeting of MLAs of the Congress party today at party headquarters, Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu. Those present included Nawang Rigzin Zora, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Gulzar Ahmed Wani, Dildan Namgyal, Ashgar Karbalai, and Mumtaz Ahmed Khan.
The following members who were away in Kashmir and elsewhere included Mohammad Amin Bhat, Usman Majid and Mohammad Akram. The meeting was informed that Mr. Vikar Rasool Wani had gone to Makkha, for Umrah. |
