Rajouri, Feb 22: Hafiz Mohammed Sayeed, Imam Jamia Masjid today in the presence of prominent citizens launched the second phase of pulse polio campaign in Darhal medical block.
Dr Iqbal , Block Medical Officer (BMO) said that on first day today of three days pulse polio campaign, 133 polio booths were set up in almost all the localities of the block for the convenience of the parents of the children below the age of 5 years.
He added that during next two days 528 health workers and volunteers drawn from different departments, ASHA's and Aganwari workers, school teachers would visit each and every corner of the block, even some inaccessible areas to vaccinate the children below 5 years.
"As per direction from Dr Rajiv Sharma, CMO the programme may be extended for few more days if the target was not achieved" said BMO. |
