Early Times Report Bhaderwah, Mar 4: Army today donated furniture under operation Sadhbhavana to six schools of Bhaderwah. According to press release, defence spokes person said that majority of the population in Bhaderwah region resides in remote areas and is devoid of basic amenities and infrastructure. During interaction with the locals, the Headmasters of the schools, expressed that presently these schools are facing acute shortage of furniture, hence has requested the Army for provision of the same. They further said that in order to spread education amongst underprivileged students of remote areas and to gain trust of local population, a need is felt for provisioning of furniture to these schools under the project Operation Sadhbhavana for the financial year 2014-15. Firdosh Ahmed, Headmaster of Government Girls High School Nichalathara said that "These kind of initiatives by the Army are always welcome as they help people of such far flung areas to relate themselves with main stream activities." |
