3/23/2015 10:28:37 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 23: Bahujan Samaj Party State President Tarseem Khullar and State general secretary Rakesh Wazir criticized the imposition of exhorbant and unrealistic toll tax at Ban Talab and asked the State Government that instead of acting as mute spectator and rather facilitating them by providing security and police get this nuisance stopped once for all after thorough consultation with concerned.
According to press release, they said that these types of exhorbant toll taxes are prevailing nowhere else in the country and said that it is ironical that even full toll tax is being charged from the people and pilgrims who are going to Katra-Shiv Khori etc. or other places and diverting from Domail and are merely using only a some stretch of 20 Kms of the National highway.
They also said that this toll tax should be waived off keeping in view the low economy, continuous militancy and turmoil in the state and more so because the Highway is still not fully compete. The leaders even warned the toll tax authorities of dire consequences for harassing the local people for want of tax and asked for immediate issuance of passes without beating about the bushes and harassing them for want of one document or the other.
Among others who were attended the meeting Tulsi Dass Langeh, RL Chadgotra, Rattan Kumar Bhagat, SN Dogra, KL Atri, DK Gill and others.
