Jammu, Mar 23 : Department of Commerce (SAP-DRS III), University of Jammu organized two-day workshop on "how to write research papers and proposals" in the Seminar Hall of Department of Commerce in which atleast 62 academicians and research scholars from different institutions and departments of University of Jammu participated.
The Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof R D Sharma was the chief guest inaugurated the said workshop and in his inaugural address he emphasized on writing and publishing research papers in quality research journals at national and global levels.
Further, he also highlighted on the need for reliable and ethical research with social implication. Prof Sharma also dwelt at length upon the various components of a well designed and structured paper starting from choosing a research topic, to literature review, research design, hypotheses, methodology, analysis, limitations, references etc. On the first day, the first two technical sessions were addressed by Dr Rajneesh Mahajan, Apeejay, School of Management and Technology, Dwarka, New Delhi on the theme of systematic approach to review of literature while third session was addressed by Prof I V Malhan, Central University of HP, Dharamshala on the theme of plagiarism.
Earlier welcome address was presented by Prof Neetu Andotra (Co-ordinator SAP) while Prof Hardeep Chahal (HOD Commerce) presented a memento to Dr Rajneesh Mahajan as a token of respect.
The welcome notes for the second and third sessions were delivered by Prof Hardeep Chahal and Tarsem Lal (Sr Assistant Professor) respectively. |
