Samba observes peaceful bandh against alleged assault on BJP leader

Samba, Mar 23: Samba township today observed a peaceful bandh in protest against alleged attack on Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader in Manohar Gopala area of Samba on the other day.
The business establishments remained closed as several organizations along with people of Samba have called Bandh here on Monday. BJP activists and members of civil society, led by Inder Singh president of Rajput Saba Samba took out a protest rally in Samba to register their resentment. Meanwhile majority of shops and business establishments in Samba remained shuttered down. Protestors also called on Deputy Commissioner, Samba Sheetal Nanda and appealed to take stick action against the accused who were involved in attack on BJP leader. The district administration should make proper arrangements to ensure the safety and dignity of common man in the area warned if the police fails to arrest the culprits they would intensify the agitation.
Inder Singh President of Rajput Sabha Samba demanded independent prove into the whole episode. Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Shakeel Baig also rushed to the spot and pacified the agitating people and assured that action under law would be taken against the accused.
