PLSJ releases book 'Sifar Ton Agge'

Jammu, June 27 : Punjabi Lekhar Sabha Jammu (PLSJ) today released a Punjabi poetry book "Sifar Ton Agge' here written by Dr Monojit at KL Saigal Hall of Jammu Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages.
According to press release, Dr. Sukhwinder Singh, a Punjabi scholar was the Chief Guest and Dr. Arvinder Amn, Additional Secretary, JKAAL presided over the function. The book was released in the presence of Joginder Chatarpal, President Dogri Sanstha, Dr. Lalit Magotra and intellectuals, writers, artists working in different fields, art lovers as well as other members of civil society.
Welcoming the audience S. Devinder Singh Vishvanagrik, President of Punjabi Lekhak Sabha said that the organization is committed to the cause of the promotion of Punjabi language in the region.
He said that the aim of the organization is to help publish more and more Punjabi books by the local writers.
Dr. Raj Kumar Behrupia recited select poems from the book, depicting the tone and spirit of the poetry. Papers were read by Dr. Nitu Arora and Dr. Mamta Rani on the book 'Sifar Ton Agge' where the poetry of Dr. Monojit was critically evaluated by these scholars.
On this occasion, Sukhwinder Singh said that the poetry of Dr. Monojit is entirely different from his other satirical writings. In his poetry one can see his concepts of human roots through very simple descriptions of narrative nature.
Dr Arvinder Amn speaking on this occasion said that the silence of the poet during his early life days seem to be leaking in satirical writings but the present book is a different kind of look of his personality. He added that the poet has shown his sense of intricacy by gathering the philosophical concept by depicting them through simple but effective language.
Besides, All Artists Welfare Association Jammu,(AAWAJ) Dr. K K Sharma, along with office bearers Er. Vijay Sharma and Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, felicitated Dr. Monojit on this occasion.
