Srinagar, June 27: The trend to wave flags of banned international terrorist group ISIS seems to have no end in Kashmir as youth were yet again spotted waving ISIS flags here today during Protests in down town area.
As Srinagar City observed shut down following a strike call of two Separatists factions against the alleged Desecration of Jamia Masjid and detention of a boy from Kashmir university, according to sources youth pelting stones on Security forces were spotted waving flags of ISIS in Gojwara in down town area of Srinagar.
Sources said that amid massive stone pelting incidents between youth and security forces in many parts of down town area of city, two youth having masked their faces and themselves behind big ISIS flags appeared with two flags reading "ISIS is coming" in Gojwara area.
Sources said incident of waving ISIS flags was reported during afternoon time when ding-dong battles of stone pelting between security forces and youth were going in many parts of down town.
Pertinently this is not the first of its kind incident in which youth have waved ISIS flags as the trend to wave ISIS flags started two years back in Kashmir and is till date repeated by youth more often in Separatists rallies across Kashmir.
Recently Police arrested two youth in this regard who according to sources were found involved in Waving ISIS and Pakistani flags during recent rallies of Separatists.
According to details amid massive stone pelting incidents one youth was hit by a tear smoke shell on his head in old city and the injured youth was immediately rushed to SKIMS were his condition is said to be stable when this story was filed.
However massive clashes were reported from Maisuma, Rajouri Kadal, Habba Kadal, Nowhatta,Gojwara and Safakadal and other areas of the city after hundreds of protesters came on roads to protest against the alleged desecration of Jamia Masjid and use of force against the University students at the hands of police who were protesting against the detention of boy by Police.
The strike call was given two major separatist factions of Hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq after People on Friday accused police of "desecrating" the Jamia Masjid by firing tear gas shells inside the Masjid and detention of a youth from Kashmir University and use of force against protesting university students.
Pertinently at Kashmir University on Thursday, protesting students were demanding release of a student of English department, Muzamil Dar, detained by police last Monday outside the university campus who according to police sources is allegedly involved in having links with militant outfits.
Meanwhile educational institutions and business establishments remain closed while attendance in government offices also remained thin today and as part of precautionary measures authorities had detained separatist leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who according to source had decided to lead a protest march against the desecration of Jamia Masjid.
