JAMMU, June 27: Sailing on brilliant innings played by Kamran, Magnum XI made it a fine 62 runs win against Bhairav Cricket Club (BCC) in Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Gold Cup Cricket Tournament underway at Government High School ground, Satwari Cantonment, here today. Earlier, Magnum XI set a target of 94 runs losing all their wickets in 17 overs of the 20 overs game. Kamran made highest 31 runs, followed by Naseer, who contributed 23. From BCC, Pardeep took four wickets while Kalu clinched two. Batting second, BCC bundled out cheaply for 31 runs to lose the tie by a big margin of 62 runs. The Magnum bowlers delivered calculated spells that they did not allow any batsman to tough the double figure mark. However, Pardeep and Sunny were main contributors to the team’s small total with nine and eight runs respectively. Kamran, who earlier scored highest 31 runs, later clinched three wickets. Kunal too bowled brilliant spell taking away four wickets. For his all round performance, Kamran was declared man of the match. Today’s match officiated by Charanjeet Singh and Aman Cheema as umpires while Iven Singh maintained the score. |
