JKPCC delegation visits flood hit areas in Devsar constituency

Jammu, June 27: A delegation of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee today visited Manigam, Lassipora, Kalwal Chek, Muswani Chek in Devsar Constituency today to take stock of the damages caused due to flash floods.
According to press release, the delegation was headed by MLC and Vice President Gulam Nabi Monga, those who were part of it included MLA Mohd Amin Bhat, MLA Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Farooq Andrabi SpokesPerson and General Secretary Hilal Ahmad Shah. The team took stock of the damages caused to agriculture land, houses due to dilapidated condition of Yethoo Nallah which needs strong embankment.
While interacting with the affected people they lashed out at state government for being no serious towards the safety of life and property of the people. They said there is need for long term measures to keep a proper check on flood like situation.
They urged the government to constitute a team of experts and make full assessment of loss caused due to flash floods in these area and take immediate measures to provide compensation to affected people.
