Birju-Benia share Domel dangal title

JAMMU, July 27 : Birju of Badri Akhara in Delhi and Benia Min of J&K Police shared the title bout of 3rd WhatApp Domel Kesari dangal which was organised by Domel Dangal Committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Domel in Katra.
The bout remained undecided after 20 minutes of fight between the two prominent wrestlers resulting in both shared Rs one lakh prize money. The prize money was awarded to these wrestlers by chief guest, president of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Gurdeep Singh of WhatApp Group. The second main bout between Sunil of Chandigarh and Farooq of Sarore in J&K again ended in a draw. The fight for third main bout between Sonu of HP and Kaka of RS Pura in Jammu too remained undecided.
In all, 17 bouts took place in this day-long dangal wherein top wrestlers drawn from Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and J&K participated. An amount of around Rs 3, 10,000 spent on this wrestling event by the organising committee.
Prithvi Raj Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Ram Paul Sharma were guests of honour. Prominent among others present were Virender Badyal, Romesh Chander, Mohd. Sadiq, Rehmat Ali, Bibshan Singh and Madan Mohan (all Sarpanch).
Members and technical officials who helped in conduct of this event included Sanjeev Sharma, Bittu Raina, Dr. Sat Paul, Om Parkash Verma, Lochan Singh, Mohd. Fareed, Raj Singh, Sardari Lal, Rajinder Kumar and Murli Dhar (Munna).
Other Results: Mandeep of Delhi beat Rajesh Sharma of J&K Police, Babba of Kot Bhawal beat Rinku of Chandigarh, Amit of Delhi beat Amir Khan of Bajrangi Akhara, Anku of Amritsar beat Ajay Sharma of Landen Power House Udhampur, Kalu of Bishnah beat Ravi of Patti, Akhram of Choadi in Jammu beat Kaka of Doom Charri, Akram of Jammu beat Sumit of Delhi and Bindra of Patti in Punjab beat Salman of Udhampur.
