Minor among three killed, 5 injured in separate road mishaps 7/28/2015 12:35:00 AM Early Times Report Jammu, July 27: Three persons including a mother and her minor son were killed while five others sustained injuries in separate road mishaps at different places. Police said that a mother and her minor son were killed when the car they were travelling in met with accident near Chowki Chowra on way to Nowshera from Jammu resulting severe injuries to the duo. After preliminary treatment at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor, they were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu but they succumbed to injuries on the way to GMC&H Jammu. The deceased have been identified as Parveen Sharma (40) wife of Sunil Sharma of Seri Noweshra and her son Karthik Sharma (4). Police have shifted both bodies to the mortuary of the hospital and after legal formalities bodies would be handed over to family members for last rites on Tuesday. Meanwhile, a pedestrian was knocked to death by a motorcycle near Bari Brahmana area. The deceased has been identified as Rashid Khan (45) son of Ali Mohammad of Billawar. Police said that the Rashid was hit by a motorcycle at Bari Brahmana resulting him fatal injuries. "He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) where he died during his treatment, police added. Meanwhile three persons sustained injuries have been identified Vandana Arora (24) wife of Prem Anchal Arora, Santosh Kumar son of Kartar Chand and his wife Sunita all residents of Bilaspur when the vehicle they were travelling met with accident near Bari Brahmana Yet in another road mishap a couple identified as Mohammad Iqbal (33) son of Ghulam Nabi and his wife Rubi Mallik of Sunal Udhampur sustained injuries when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with a truck near Narwal area.
