Early Times Report KISHTWAR, July 31: Continuing its drive against the traffic violation, Kishtwar police booked one person allegedly driving a vehicle under the heavy influence of liquor. While divulging the details, Additional SP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom said that during night patrolling at around 11 pm on Thursday, the police party comprising of Dy SP HQ Kishtwar Touseef Ahmed and Incharge SHO Police Station Kishtwar Nayeem-ul-Haq Mattoo intercepted the vehicle bearing Registration No JK17-1354 (Tipper) and found the driver of the vehicle identified as 40 year old Kulbir Singh son of Ram Singh resident of Sohal Padder, who was driving his vehicle under the influence of alcohol, added that many fresh dented marks were also found on the vehicle which has suggested that before intercepted by the police, he (Kulbir Singh) has hit his vehicle at few places luckily no loss of life took place due to negligence. He said that after conducting his medical examination, Kishtwar police booked him in FIR No. 127/2015 U/S 279, 336 RPC, 185 Motor Vehicle Act. He said that police has also recommended for the cancellation of permits of few vehicles who are regularly violating the traffic norms, particularly overloading. |
