Court directs Pacca Danga PS SHO for investigation
JKNPP files complaint against BJP workers

Jammu, Aug 4: In a complaint filed by Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party seeking direction to SHO of Pacca Danga police station to register an FIR for the commission of offences under sections 148, 325, 341, 355, 307 and 440 of RPC and section 2 of The Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 and to conduct investigation as per law against the BJP workers.
CJM, Jammu, Sunit Gupta, after hearing petitioner Vilakshan Singh, state general secretary of Young Panthers, forwarded the complaint Pacca Danga PS SHO under section 156(3) for investigation under law.
According to the complaint, the JKNPP rally started from Press Club Jammu at about 10.30 am on July 31 last. He was also part of the rally and was in his car (JK02R/4555) along with his brother-in-law Vikas Kotwal, also a JKNPP member. After passing through different bazaars, the rally reached Kachi Chawani at about 11 am where BJP office is located. His car was last in the cavalcade of vehicles. When he reached in front of the BJP Office, hundreds of BJP workers shouting slogans "Har Har Modi Ghar Ghar Modi" came out the BJP office and gheraoed his car, he submitted.
By that time, other vehicles had crossed BJP office. The BJP workers first snatched the National Flag which Kotwal was carrying and then threw it into the drain. Then they forcibly took him and Kotwal out of the car and started beating them. In the meanwhile, one of the BJP worker shouted "Isne President Sahab Ke Bai Ke Khilaf election Ladi Hai, Bahut Kush Bolta Tha campaign Mein, Isko Aaj Zinda Nahin Shodegey." (He has contested election against brother of our state president. He used to speak a lot against us during elections. Today we shall not leave him alive), he alleged.
He claimed that he was saved by a passersby. One of the BJP workers also broke the front window of the car with an iron rod which he was carrying with him. In the meanwhile, police came on the spot and scared away the unruly mob, he alleged and claimed that he then narrated the whole story to the Pacca Danga PS SHO and SP, Jammu, who had come there to disperse the mob and asked them to register an FIR against the accused. They promised that they would register an FIR in the incident and asked him and Kotwal to immediately leave the spot as they were showing helplessness to control the mob. They had also collected stones for throwing them on the people who raising voice against the discrimination meted out to Jammu province by the BJP partnered government in J&K, he alleged. (JNF)
