POONCH, Aug 4: Government Higher Secondary School Chandak clinched the under-19 Boys' Volleyball title in the inter-school competitions of district Poonch, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the final, HSS Chandak defeated Government Higher Secondary School, Surankote 2-1 (18-25, 25-15, 25-12).
Meanwhile, the under-19 Boys' Kabaddi title went to Government Higher Secondary School Poonch after they outplayed Government Higher Secondary School Harni 25-15. In the finals, Superintendent of Police Headquarters, Mujibul Rehman was chief guest, who interacted with the teams and encouraged young boys.
Prominent among others present were Qasim Din, Nazir Hussain, Surinder Singh, Tej Kour, Sarla Rani, Narinder Singh, Gurmeet, Gurvinder, Sunjay Kumar and Surab.
