JAMMU, Aug 22 : Jammu district girls made a clean sweep in the inter-district state badminton championship held at Srinagar under the banner of Directorate Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
For twin titles of under-14 and under-19, Jammu girls outplayed district Kargil 2-0. And, to make it a triple title win, Jammu district defeated Budgam in under-17 category.
Meanwhile, the winning girls were congratulated by the District officer, Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. Now, these selected girls will be representing the state in the upcoming National School Games slated to be held at Andhra Pradesh in the first week of November and Maharashtra in the first week of December. |
