Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 22: A verbal dual was witnessed between a senior Congress leader and former Corporator of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) who had violated protocol and decorum of the party. Congress leaders and workers witnessed exchanges of barbs between a senior leader and a female ex-Corporator.
Credible sources in the Congress said that a former Minister demanded disciplinary action against an ex-Corporator who had violated protocol during a meeting which was held on August 20 to observe birth anniversary of former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi. Instead of admitting her mistake, the female leader entered into a verbal dual with the senior party leader, who is also ex-Minister. The former corporator dared ex-minister to take disciplinary action against her and warned that she has strong links in Delhi.
Credible sources disclosed that during a function which was held on Thursday to observe birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi, the female leader violated protocol of the party by presiding over a function which was actually scheduled to be presided over by a senior leader in which Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir was chief guest.
Credible sources said that flight of Mir was delayed so it was decided that party leaders would wait for the PCC to start the function. But the female leader, who is known for this proximity with many senior leaders, herself started the function on her own and starting presiding over the function.
Today during a meeting, senior leaders raised their strong objection over attitude of the female leader. They demanded disciplinary action against her for violating protocol. But instead of admitting her mistake, the female leader threatened to get most of the senior leaders sacked for her proximity with those who are at the helm of the affairs.
