Early Times Report jammu, Aug 22: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today organized a multi-lingual Kahani Goshti at K.L Saigal Hall, Jammu in which large number of luminaries from art and literature participated. ND Jamwal, a well known multi-faceted personality presided over the occasion while Dr Aziz Hajni, Secretary of the Academy and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary also shared the presidium. In his presidential address N.D Jamwal applauded the efforts of the Academy being initiated at the doorstep of the artists, writers and others especially in the Educational institutions. Earlier in his welcome address Secretary of the Academy, said that J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages intends to do a lot for the promotion of art, culture and languages of the state which cannot be possible without the active participation of the artists/writers and those associated with the field of art, culture and languages. He sought assistance from the concerned so as to take the art, culture and languages to its satisfactory end. Among those who read out their short-stories included S.S Anand Lehar (Urdu), Dr Lalit Magotra (Dogri), Smt Nirmal Vikram(Dogri), Khalid Hussain (Punjabi) and Smt Kiran Bakshi (Hindi). Prominent present on this occasion included Sham Talib, Dr Nirmal Vinod, Chattar Pal, Rakesh Tript and S Baljit Raina. |
