KATRA, Sept 29: The inaugural session of two day National Seminar, "Economics of Make in India" organized by School of Economics, Faculty of Management, in collaboration with the Indian Economic Association was conducted in Matrika Auditorium of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Education was the Chief Guest of the Session. Offering greeting to the dignitaries Vice Chancellor, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Prof. Sudhir K. Jain, Chairman of the occasion emphasized on the real meaning of Make in India. He added that we should be Job creator rather Job seeker. Dr. Anil Kumar Thakur, IEA General Secretary and Treasurer also addressed the gathering. Sethi also expressed her views regarding Make in India and the path of development of the county. The Seminar evoked tremendous response with good number of academicians and scholars from different parts of India participating in it. Through this seminar, various issues concerning make in India and contemporary economic issues shall be raised and it would hopefully arrive at a prudent and logical conclusion which policy makers could use as guiding principles at various levels of planning and decision making. |
