Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 29: Nisha Kumari of Government College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar won the gold medal in inter-college yoga competition held under the banner of Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu (JU), here today. Roshni Devi and Nageena of the same college secured silver and bronze medals respectively. In view of lack of participation in this event, the organizers conducted the selection-cum-competition. It was an open competition among participants from four affiliated colleges of JU, a handout issued here today informed. The event was officiated by the panel of judges including Harsimran Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Mukesh Sharma, Harinder Pal Singh and PD Singh. KABADDI: Meanwhile, in inter-college women's kabaddi competition started today on the campus grounds, here. Today's matches were officiated by the technical penal comprising Harpreet Singh, Keshav Singh, Gagan Kumar and Sayush Singh under the supervision of Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau. The Results: GWC Parade beat GDC Samba by 43 points (56-13); GWC Gandhi Nagar beat PG Departments by 20 points (33-13); GWC Parade beat GWC Udhampur by 36 points (48-12). |
