Dangal organized at Bishnah, 70 fights held | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 29: Annual Dangal competition held at village Chak Avatara Bishnah which was organized by Village Dangal Committee to mark the day of Peerbaba. Sarpanch Chak Avtara Surjeet Singh (Neta Ji) and MLA Bishnah Kamal Arora inaugurated the Dangal. Ajit Singh Sarpanch Dabar Bishnah was the guest of on the occasion. The participants of the adjoining states including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh participated in the Dangal. The first fight was held between Farooq Khan from Srore Jammu and Malkeet from Pathankot Punjab which ended in drawn and the prize money Rs 21,000 was equally divided between the both contestants. The second fight was held between Kaka from RS Pura and Major from Luthiana which also ended in drawn and the prize money of Rs 15000 which was distributed equally among the constantans. The third fight was fought between Imam Hussain from RS Pura and Baba from Kot Bhalwal in which Imam Hussain emerges as winner and was awarded with refrigerator by the organizers. The fourth completion was held between Kalu from Bishnah and Jodha Pahalwan from Punjab in which Kalu emerges winner which was awarded with prize money of Rs 11,000. The fifth fight was held between Zakir Hussain from Kotli Charakan Bishnah and Bazz Pahalwan from Luthiana which ended in a draw. Rafi from Bishnah and Happy from Ludhiana, Banka Pahalwan Bishnah, Pankaj Pahalwan from Punjab also won the fights. Nearly seventy fights were fought in the Dangal. The members of the Dangal committee included Shamsher Singh President, Raj Singh Cashier, Manohar Singh, Mohan Singh, Anchal Singh, Bitta Singh, Makhan Singh and others. |
