Jammu, Sept 29 : The President of All J&K daily wagers of P.H.E. today alleged that the Government has constituted a number of Committees and Sub-Committees meant to sort out the issue and redress the genuine grievances of the daily wagers but these committees appear to be an exercise in futility just to hoodwink the needy and poor daily wagers.
This was stated by the President,Tanveer Hussain and had a dig on the State Government for its failure to take immediate steps to regularize the daily wagers working in PHE. saying that a number of requests made in this behalf have fallen on the deaf ears.
He cautioned the Government to be ready to face the consequences for paying no attention to meet the demands of daily wagers.
He flayed the Minister of PHE. for not sticking to his promise made on 23rd May this year to redress the issue, lamenting his lip sympathy and casual handling of the problem facing the daily wagers who have put in 20 to 25 years in the temporary position
The President announced that if the Government continues to maintain constant silence over this important issue, the Daily Wagers of PHE. shall organize Adhikaar Rally on 2nd October before the office of Chief Engineer, P.H.E, Jammu. |
