Billawar, Oct. 5: A protest demonstration was held by locals against the Deputy Chief Minister due to power cut and scarcity of drinking water. According to press release, a demonstration led by President of Women Folk Billawar, Sonia Anand along with hundred women's activities and prominent persons and they demanded smooth interrupted power supply. Addressing gathering, Sonia Anand said that people were suffering due to power cuts and drinking water. Earlier, they burnt effigy of Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh and they warned the authority to look into the matter and solve the problem's immediately otherwise a strong agitation will be started. Among those who were participated in the protest included Kanta Devi, Sonu Akhir, Bimla Devi, Krishna Devi, Poli Devi, Javed Akhter, Kamal Dev and Shail Singh. |
