| Forest dept, FPF seizes two more illegal saw mills | | |  Early Times Report
Kathua , Oct 5: A joint team of Forest department and Forest Protection Force (FPF) today against conducted raids in various area of Jasrota Forest Range and seized two saw mills operating illegally in district Kathua. According to Forest department, a joint team comprising of District Forest Officer Kathua Forest department Ashwani Kumar, Deputy Director Forest Protection Force (FPF) Indu Sharma along with field staff conducted raids and seized three saw mills, running in Jastora Forest range. One saw mill each in Ladwal and Sherpur area of Jasrotra Forest range were seized, which were running in violation of SRO 103, Section 6 of J&K Forest Act. Moreover, few Coal Bhattis were also destroyed by the team, which were running illegally in Chapaki area. |
