Jammu, Jan 22: Brazenly undermining the authority of administrative wing of School Education, the Chief Education Officers have failed to submit the list of incharge employees demanded by the department within ten days, over nine months ago. Employees informed Early Times that on May 8, 2015, the administrative wing of School Education department in Civil Secretariat had issued a notification regarding regularization of all incharge Chief Education Officers, Lecturers, headmasters, and Zonal Education officers. As per said order, the Chief Education Officers of all the respective districts were directed to submit the consolidated lists of the incharge employees for their regularization within 10 days, but after the lapse of nearly nine months now, the lists are still awaited, an incharge lecturer Rajesh Sharma said. He further said that it was also evident from the fact that not a single regularization order of the incharge lecturer, headmaster, principal, CEO has been issued. "We cannot blame a single Chief Education Officer and it could be the fact that some of CEOs have already forwarded the lists but it reflects the lethargic functioning and red tapism prevalent in the department, where orders are issued but even the subordinate officers don't care", he alleged. Another incharge Principal said that they had huge expectations when Naeem Akhter had taken over the reins of the School Education department but he also failed to streamline the functioning of department. "The Chief Education officers had to submit the consolidated lists to Director School Education department, which in turn had to forward the same to Administrative wing but so far nothing has been happened, inviting resentment among the incharge employees", he said. The employees appealed Governor NN Vohra to direct the Commissioner Secretary of School Education department to direct his subordinate staff to forward the lists, so that needful must be done without any further delay. |
