Negligence of LPG distributor irks consumers 1/22/2016 11:30:23 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 22: The LPG consumers failed to understand the tendency of LPG distributor "Indane Gulmohar Gas Service" which has badly hit the consumers for not getting the timely supply of LPG refilled cylinders from the distributor despite getting the booking done weeks ago, leading to inconvenience and harassment. The consumers narrated the tale of their woes to Early Times saying that they are facing tremendous difficulties to receive refilled cylinders with the same lame excuses being repeatedly extended by the agency. Elaborating the sorry state of affairs prevailing in the LPG agency office at Green Belt Park at Gandhi Nagar," the consumer stated "When I reached the agency for getting LPG refill cylinder as per the booking which was scheduled on Jan 19, 2016 at 2 PM, I was shocked to learn from the owner of the agency to come next day at 2 PM to get same as the consignment has not been dispatched by the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC)," he lamented. In the wake of flat refusal of the owner, the most of the consumers returned back after heated arguments with employees of the agency but some of them stayed back for more than one and half hours to cull out and ascertain the exact reasons behind the apathetic attitude of the agency. Astonishingly, which was nothing short of shocking to witness on the spot that one of officials of Indian Oil Corporation suddenly appeared there to meet the owner and enquired about the people gathered outside the agency who were looking visibly annoyed and simultaneously an employee of the agency informed the official about the non-arrival of the LPG consignment. When officer wanted to know the factual position for the non-arrival of LPG consignment, the officer was informed that the draft was deposited late. Reacting towards the sluggish attitude of the owner, the officer scolded him for his failure to deposit draft one day in advance for getting the delivery on time which could have averted the needless embarrassment to the consumers for which the agency is duty bound.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
