Another friend of PSO, who decamped with 4 rifles, arrested in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Jan 22 : Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested another youth, a friend of Personal Security Officer (PSO) who decamped with four AK rifles in south Kashmir on January 15. With this, police arrested two of the three friends of PSO and recovered two rifles so far, official sources said. They said three youths identified as Aqib Bashir Dar, Abdi Bhat and Gazi Fayaz Dar, friends of PSO Shakoor Ahmad, went missing on the day when the cop decamped along with four AK rifles from Bijbehara where he was posted as guard of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP). It was apprehended that Shakoor may have joined militants. They said Aqib was arrested alongwith one of the missing rifles in Shopian following a tip-off. Earlier, police arrested Gazi Fayaz and recovered one rifle on his disclosure. A massive hunt was going on to nab the missing cop Shakoor and his another friend Abid Bhat, they said adding raids were being conducted at several places |
