Formation in
Jammu and Kashmir after the present prevailing scenario emerged, due to untimely death of the sitting CM, has sent alarming signals to the BJP in J&K. The people in general and employees in particular, in every sphere are cursing the role of Ministers of BJP quota till time and every lip is murmuring, about only hollow slogans and hollow commitments on their part. A common man do not want repeat of inexperienced Ministers and those who changed their loyalties during the election just to avail the benefits of Modi's storm. The corruption of previous ministers from the BJP quota especially related to transfer scam in Engineering department as reported by section of print media clearly speaks of 'Achay Din ' of corrupt minister rather than common man. Most sufferers were the employees of departments such as Education, PHE, Social Welfare Department and many. During their tenure this coterie of ministers has added just problems to the employees than redresses.
A new ray of hope flashed in the State, when a different combination to form the government emerged, but it started pinching the voters of the Jammu region, when their representatives surrendered in Toto before the Kashmir eccentric politics by surrendering the commitments, made during election at the time of formation of the government. The news emerging in different circles of the media is pointing towards the frustration of the BJP and they are not sure of getting the same treatment from the, would be CM of J&K, owing to certain deeds committed, which embraced the PDP coalition partners, tolerated by a man of vast experience and heart like that of Late Mufti but intolerable to present 'would be CM' who known for her daring deeds, committed politics and getting the things done in her own way. Even if we track down the history of development in J&K, there is no role of BJP in J&K's development scenario except exploiting the sentiments of the 'Jammuites' that may be Amarnath Land Row, AIIMS, Tourism, Employment sector, development aspect, health and what not and steering 'Agitations and Bandh' calls only till the time they were nowhere in political scene in Jammu. How people forget the sell out of its MLAs during previous tenure, when number of MLAs were expelled from the party by the BJP. The dual standard of BJP in shielding the leaders and Ministers pointed out in corruption allegations, accommodating defeated candidates and candidates contesting against the party mandate, in the Ministries, both in the centre as well as in the State. The uncertainty about formation of government with previous alliance partner appears to be over, as the political think tanks have analyzed the statements issued from time to time by PDP stalwarts about keeping a distance from BJP and now it is clearly evident that BJP in the state has to cut a sorry figure of tasting again the sweetness of power as an alliance partner, owing to the observation of Mufti, that the alliance with BJP was 'unpopular' and BJP known for backtracking in the state has made Late Mufti actually to beg financial help from centre for flood victims of Kashmir. This alliance was resented in Jammu region also because the mandate handed over to BJP in the Region was not to ally with Kashmir centric politics but to fight against the discrimination with Jammu region. Better the way for continuation of Governor rule in the state, although it is against the ethics of democracy, but right thinking people are not adverse till new elections are held as the period of longest tenure of Governor rule followed by President rule for six years and eight months from January 1990 to October 1996, is experienced as a period of no discrimination with Jammu region and going all things very smoothly.
