Absconding peddler among two held, 2500 intoxicant capsules recovered | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Feb 1 : As a part of special drive against drug menace launched by Rajouri Police, today two drug peddlers including one absconder who had escaped the police naka on January 17, in two separate incidents besides making a seizure of 2500 intoxicant capsules. Police spokesperson said, Police Party of Special Operation Group (SOG) Rajouri under the supervision of DySP (Ops) Iftkhar Ahmed and I/C PP Chingus SI Danish Dar on the directions of SSP Rajouri Rajeshwar Singh laid a special Naka at Kallar Rajouri and intercepted one suspicious person.' Police said, "During the frisking of accused identified as Basharat Hussain s/o Mohd Said r/o Khandli, the police team recovered 2500 intoxicant capsules from his possession." "In this regard, a case FIR No: 58/2016 u/s 8/20/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri and further investigations are on. Meanwhile Rajouri Police also succeeded to nab the absconding drug peddler namely Manzoor Hussain s/o Noor Hussain, r/o Dhanore Jaralan, who fled away from the spot on this January 17 and a case under FIR No: 31/2016 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Rajouri. Police said, "After his escape police have launched massive manhunt and series of raids were carried out at different locations. "Acting on specific information Police party of Police Station Rajouri led by Inspr Chaman Gorkha SHO P/S Rajouri under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs. Hamid Choudhary, zeroed upon the accused and arrested the accused from village Dhanore Jaralan. |
