Avinash Azad Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 29: A senior bureaucrat in State administration is trying his best to get himself transferred as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), for another term. Sources in State administration told Early Times that the bureaucrat presently holding top post of an important department, had already served the Shrine board. "His transfer, was on-card during four months long Governor's rules in State, but formation of State Government led by Mehbooba Mufti had created 'hurdle' for him", they said, adding that if the Government not forms he was be appointed against his choicest. They said that being autonomous body, the SMVDSB has a huge empire, it has become priority of most of the bureaucrats. "The day when, super specialty hospital, owned by the board was made functional, he once again has started lobbying for the top post", said an insider, adding that the bureaucrat had also played in 'important' to get signed MoU between SMVDSB and Narayana Health, a multispecialty Hospital Chain in India. Sources said since the board owns Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) and now Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Katra, there are some influential bureaucrat in race of top post. "But, officer, who has good link in Governor's house is all set to make his way in the board", sources said, and added that State Government, especially, PDP is not in favour to make to officer CEO. "Despite opposition of his appointment in the board, he may manage the post, since he has strong bonding in Governor house", sources, adding that the bureaucrat, now-a-days also trying to convince BJP leadership, a major partner of coalition Government. Sources further claimed it is right time unearth scams had taken places in the board. "Government should conduct a special audit on various projects taken up by the board in last ten years", sources said, to prevent drainage of money, being donated by the devotee of Mata Vaishno Devi, Government should take appropriate action. |
