JAMMU, Apr 29: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers/smugglers, the Police claimed to have arrested a narcotics smuggler alongwith 'Charas' during a naka at Sarwal locality of winter capital.
"The accused has been identified as Ashu Sharma s/o Dharam Chand of Sarwal, police sources said.
"The above said narcotic smuggler was arrested by the Bakshi Nagar police and recovered the consignment of Charas (6 Challies) from his possession here today during the naka checking at Sarwal area, they added.
Sources said that the accused has been put to the sustained questioning, further adding, a case in this connection stands registered with the concerned police station. |
