| Financial literacy camp held at Moutlian Kalan | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Aug 26: A financial literacy camp was held at village Moutlian Kalan Utter Behni of Samba district under the aegis of NABARD and J&K Bank Gurha Slathia here today. Over 150 locals participated in this awareness camp.
The objective of the camp was to create awareness of financial concept and to make people aware of various schemes launched by government and bank.
Senior bank officials from J&K Bank, Insurance Companies and NABARD acted as resource persons and highlighted various welfare schemes launched for the farmers and rural class.
Speakers spoke on KCC education loan, transport loan, housing loan, easy working capital mortgage loan mudra (Shishu Kishore and Tarun ). They also made people, aware of schemes like PMSBY, PMJJY, PMJDY, APY and Ladli Betti etc. they also urged public to make judicious use of bank loans for purpose Branch Head JK Bank Gurha Slathia Bir Singh Jamwal requested the people to avail benefit of bank and various schemes of govt as individual or through group Self Help Groups (SHGs) participants are also education to use PMJDY ATM card within 90 daysand advised them to collect the card on priority basis from branch.
Sarpanch Charan Dass, Panch Sat Paul and Panch Sham Lal actively supported the programme and lauded the efforts being made by J&K Bank in uplifting living standard of rural people. They also extended their special thanks to NABARD for providing financial support to hold such camps |
