9/18/2016 10:23:50 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 18: The transfer policy in the police department is just an eye wash and it is evident from the fact that some of the blue-eyed police officers who have been posted as Station House officers (SHOs) and in-charge police posts are enjoying their posting in the district for last more than 5 years.
If sources are to be believed, some of the police officers have completed stayed more than 5 years in the single district and the seniors officers are reluctant to transfer them just because of the reasons that they are greasing their palms.
"It become a trend in the police department to spent more and more tenure in home district and even at district headquarters to show their influence over the colleagues", said a police source adding that while there is set transfer policy in the police department which is being violated with impunity.
Sources further said that the transfer policy in the police department is just for those police officers who have no influence and denied to grease the palms of the senior from their salary.
"Despite greasing palms of the senior police officer these blue-eyed used to appease the seniors by doing their household jobs", alleged a police officer pleading anonymity.
