CM to chair high level meeting for 3 Chenab valley districts

Kishtwar Sept 18: Shifting her focus from Kashmir situation to various developmental projects, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is going to chaired high level developmental works related meeting of government officials and political persons including MLAs/MLC for three Districts of Chenab valley viz Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban Districts.
As per the details available with "Early Times", Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had called for high level meeting related to three Districts of Chenab valley on Monday in which all the six MLAs of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban Districts beside the MLCs hailing from these three Districts had been invited to Srinagar for the said meeting while Deputy Commissioners of all the three Districts will take part in the said meeting through video conference. The official sources informed the "Early Times", that CM had asked all the administrative heads of various government departments to focus on the developmental projects in hilly and backward areas of Chenab valley and had directed them to expedite the works on developmental projects in these three Districts without getting influenced with present Kashmir unrest triggered post killing of Hizb Commander Burhan Wani. The sources further said that beside political representatives, all the District officials will remain present and will took part in said meeting through video conference. The sources said that poor condition of Kishtwar-Batote National Highway, Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag National Highway, Cheenani-Nashri tunnel, Cancer Hospital at Kishtwar, Medical College at Doda, health infrastructure, shortage of staff in government offices along with various key road projects underway in the area will be discussed along with law and order situation in the area. CM is also like showed her keen interest towards expediting of progress on important power projects like 1000 MW Pakal-Dool, 650 MW Kwar and 680 MW Kirru power projects and also to discuss the modalities to be adopted for restarting of 850 MW Rattle Power Project the work on which is suspended since last over 2 years after the GVK Power limited abandoned this prestigious project due to poor financial condition.
