Udhampur, Sept 18: Battal Baluan resudents have demanded shifting of fifteen industrial from the area which according to them are a major cause of different ailments.
While talking to Early Times Om Parkash Sharma Charmin Ballian, Rathian Development Comate, said this industry estate has been established in the middle of the Rathian and Battal Ballian Panchayat which comprises the area habitations which are being badly affected are Tund, Ballian, Blay, khruni, Jard, Londana etc.
Sarpanch Ballian Man Mohan Raina said Mohallas located in its surroundings having total pollution 10000 to 15000, are wirst affected. Govt. has permitted such dangerous and harmful industries which are a great threat to the lives .
It will not be wrong if we mention that more than forty percent population of the area has been victims of various diseases like- asthama, skin diseases, eye diseases, digestion problem of medically checked.
Plantation nea the industrial areas has stated dying most of the plants have dried up due to poisonous environment. The animals whether these are domestic are wild become minimized due to their deaths or shifting from other places by their owners.
We have already approached various corners and requested to let us live in sound environment provided by the almighty.
We have endorsed a letter of problems to honorable prime minister India Narendra Modi office to the worthy chief minister of J&K Govt. vide their letter no. PMOPG/D/70623 dated 23-04-2015. Further chief secretary endorsed a letter to director industries and commerce Jammu vide letter no.IND/DIC.58/2015 dated 8-6-2015 but nothing has been done till date and the peoples are much worried and facing life threats. |
