10/5/2016 10:38:46 PM
Early Times Report

Poonch, Oct 5: Provincial Youth National Conference President Ajaz Jan on Wednesday assailed the callousness of the PDP-BJP Government in ignoring the residents of people living Line of Control, who suffered immensely due to shelling from across the border.
Interacting with the affected families of Sauijyan and Shahpur in the Poonch district, Jan, who is camping in the affected villages, said that the people are facing numerous problems, especially on account of drinking water supply, power and essentials but nobody from the administration seems to be interested in mitigating their difficulties.
He said the local water supply scheme has completely been damaged by the shelling as a result of which supply to the villages has severely suffered. He said the engineers of the PHE were yet to visit the affected areas to take stock of the damages and take up restoration work.
Jan met the injured and sought free and specialized treatment to them. He also expressed solidarity with those whose properties were burnt in the wake of shelling, which include 27 shops that have completely been gutted.
Meanwhile NC leader Ajaz Jan also got a group of volunteers constituted in Saujiyan area which will work during shelling to ensure shifting of people to safer locations and evacuation of any injured person.
" As govt help is missing, we have no other option than to stand ourself for which volunteers group has been constituted " Jan said.
